Buzurgmehr Foundation is a human rights organization established in exile by relatives of political prisoners in Tajikistan.
The mission and purpose of Buzurgmehr Foundation to raise the awareness throughout society regarding human rights, provide legal assistance to those in need, review and publicise the cases of Tajik political prisoners and individuals under persecution, as well as to monitor the human rights situation in Tajikistan.
The Buzurgmehr Foundation website will publish details of high-profile cases, discuss changes and amendments to the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, provide legal consultations, prepare and publish learning and video materials.
The foundation is named after Buzurgmehr Yorov, a well-known lawyer, a Tajik political prisoner, winner of Homo Homini Award 2019 and Fayziniso Vahidova Award 2019, as well as diplomant of 2019 Václav Havel Human Rights Prize.
