THEY DECLARED THE PAMIRI PEOPLE A MAJOR CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION

Rustam Joni, the well-known Tajik journalist published on his Facebook page the list of people who were transferred from the pre-trail detention center to the Correctional Facility No. 3.4 in Dushanbe. In this list, the names of some natives of Badakhshan can be seen, 26 of whom have been sent to prison under Article 187, Section 2 Criminal Code of Tajikistan.

Referring to this article of Criminal Code of Tajikistan, journalist Rustami Joni wrote: “Can it be called anything other than a “troika”? All of them were sentenced under Article 187 Section 2. From now on, this article can be called the article of “Pamiri people”. In the eyes of the government, every Pamiri activist is a member of a criminal organization”.
Here is the translation of the complete post of journalist Rustami Joni

THEY DECLARED THE PAMIRI PEOPLE A MAJOR CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION

“We received a list of people who were transferred from the pre-trial detention center to Correctional Facility No. 3.4 in Dushanbe on January 10. Their court sentence has taken effect. They are Pamiri activists who were arrested by the government during the “cleansing” campaign.

Just look at the years of sentence. It is clear that the court sentenced them to prison without any hearing or discussion. Perhaps, in any practice of the courts of the world, you will not come across such a thing, when several people were sentenced at once and wholly.
It is not possible, that even one of them did not have a reason to reduce the sentence. This is beyond logic…

Can it be called anything other than a “troika”? All of them were sentenced under Article 187 Section 2. From now on, this article can be called the article of “Pamiri people” . In the eyes of the government, every Pamiri activist is a member of a criminal organization.
In fact, they are all victims of another big criminal organization, that is, the government…
